a hungry monster

i did this a while ago. threadless says it has too many colors to be a shirt. i want this shirt.

on a completely unrelated note, kucinich came to SLO for some odd reason and i think he looks funny in this picture i took of him.
one wouldn't think a college town of 40000 wouldn't be a campaign stop. Maybe there are thousands of him and they are all going to every small town, disguised as leprechauns.

doodles and such

the first one is my music theory teacher riding a horned reptilian beast. the second is a girl named Sarah Sayeed if she was a dude.

lovers

a linoleum block print, scanned, with the background sloppily cut off. I'm going to continue editing it until i have a whole composition based on this image.

some paintings

bad photos of paintings i love

another scene from Weeds

he was getting a back massage
while talking on the phone.

the Greek Myth series (incomplete)

i've been working alot with simplistic styling, sparse use of line, minimal shading, and looking back to Greek (here), Egyptian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, African and Tribal art that has very distinct styles, in the aims of developing my own style. These look alot better painted than in my sketchbook as you see them. But this is the style I've been developing.
pieces: Achilles' Fall, Hero Bellerophon and 3 of the Defeated Amazons (i do not endorse his misogyny), Theseus and the Minotaur, Prometheus and Atlas. I think Greek Myths are incredibly relevant in the way they deal with human nature, but they're also hypermasculine, and i'm trying to parody that a little bit.

stuff with wings

stylized drawings. this style is how i paint. but my paintings are at home and i am at school. i like the icarus one alot.

a dog i have named Scout

self-titled

"intellectuals admiring a strong, naked homosexual man because they believe him to be a statue"

true story.
well, maybe not.

a scene from 'Weeds' on showtime

the monster wasn't on weeds. but it should've been.

Emily Helgeson

her head looks a bit big, which makes her look a bit like a brassy teenager. also, her black dress camouflaged her curvature. But it's bossy anyway.

nude woman

not so good at faces, am I? well, i'm working on it.
i'm sure you could read into all the facelessness, but i'd prefer you not to.

faceless nude

this isn't a very good scan, is it?
whatever. also, the face wasn't very interesting.

nude pregnant woman

i dont really like the way her face turned out, but other than that i think it's great
